There are two noteworthy events coming up in the next month we'd like to mention.
If you're looking for a chance to network with technology-based entrepreneurial businesses, read on about the Main Line Chamber of Commerce's next Power Networking Event.
In addition, the Eastern Technology Council is starting their first "Business Building Bootcamp," a half-day of workshops focused exclusively on real-world information, tools, and techniques for taking your business to the next stage. The hands-on workshops will be facilitated by experts in finance, IT, human capital, marketing, and sales for the Technology and Life Sciences industries and are designed to deliver real take-away solutions that you can implement once you are back at the office.

"Power Networking Event for Technology-based Entrepreneurial Businesses"
The Main Line Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Power Networking event focused on technology-based entrepreneurial businesses. Similar to the popular concept of speed dating, it gives participants direct exposure to over 20 technology business owners/employees and networking with 30 others.
When: August 15th 2007 at 6:00PM
Where: Susanna Foo Gourmet Kitchen in Radnor, PA
Complimentary hors d'oeuvres will be included. For more details, click here. If you're not a member of the Main Line Chamber of Commerce, be sure to mention you're a client of Team and a Dream to get the member price.
"Business Building Bootcamp"
Skip Shuda, founder of Team and a Dream and The Cheap Revolution, is leading a workshop at the Eastern Technology Council's "Business Building BootCamp." He will be joined by industry IT experts Rick Bunker, John Galvin and Sunil Jagani (Find out more about the presenters here). The workshop is designed specifically for start-up and emerging growth executives in the technology and life sciences industries. Each Business-Building BootCamp will include eight workshops, designed and facilitated by leading experts in finance, IT, human resources, marketing, and sales for the technology and life sciences industries.
Skip Shuda will be presenting on "IT within a Budget." This workshop will provide you with the tools you need to match your IT choices with your business needs. Solving today's IT problems range from using free, open source platforms through metered "software as a service" modules through global freelancers to high end specialists. This workshop will examine the different IT needs a startup typically encounters including office management (email, document management, phones, server hosting, intranets), marketing/sales functions (CRM, newsletters, web sites) and core technology development (e.g. custom software development, business intelligence, etc). The workshop will show you how to identify and examine factors like your readiness, budget and options available to optimize the value your IT choices bring to your business.
When: September 25th, 2007 from 8:00am to 1:00pm
Where: Penn State Great Valley in Malvern, PA.
